Gunpoint

Game Review number 1
Date: 2/24/2015
Game: Gunpoint
Genre: Platformer

Gunpoint is a well polished indie game that I found not very long ago. In the game you are a freelance spy, meaning you will do work for anyone as long as you get the money requested by the end. The game works as follows, first, you choose a mission. Second, you complete the mission objective without getting killed(by the guards who patrol), and/or)(optional objectives) beat the level without guards seeing you at all, minimal violence, low noise created(high noise is created by lets say jumping through glass), and/or in a time limit. They don't really matter whether you do them or not but you could go up to your friends and say, "Hey dude, I found this really cool website called freevgreviews.blogspot.com. It told me about this game called Gunpoint. And I got all the optional achievements." Basically keep bragging to your friends. Try it sometime, it's fun.

It doesn't work like other platformers you experience. What makes this game different? What makes this platformer stand out than all the others. Well a couple large things make it its own type of game. One is the ability to leap far with a click of the mouse button. If you lunge towards the wall, you'll stick there, out of a guards sight(sometimes). You can lunge towards the ceiling, just kind of...hang there.  The other thing that makes this different from others is something the game calls "rewiring". What it is is changing the cords around in the wall to do different things while you do a different thing. For an example, normally a light switch turns on and off the light in the room, well in the rewiring state you could change it so the light switch and the locked door are connected. Go back to the light switch, activate it, light stays as it was before you changed it but the door is open now. Pretty cool huh?

There are guards, there is a violence bar, you put them together, and yeah. You know there there is violence, but how? Well remember when i told you about being able to leap and lunge everywhere? Yeah, you do that to enemies....and punch them...and punch them....and punch them.....and continue to punch them.

Stats:
Gameplay: 4.7/5
Sound: 3/5
Visual Looks: 4.2/5
Storyline: 2.3/5

In the end: if you need storyline for a game, you may not like this game. Give it a try if your friend has it for you to play for free. If you could go either get the game on sale. You don't care, get the game. You'll thank me later.
Alright so I don't want to give away ALL of the game. Then there won't be no game for you to play.

Okay thanks for reading this. and Game on Gamers.
